K.G.'s Story

When I began the WMW PowHERhouse training my voice was merely a whisper. Not that I didn't have my own thoughts nor that I didn't feel strongly about my convictions. It was a matter of fear. I was afraid to express myself too strongly, doubting that I had the right to do so.

I had no idea just how much I would grow over those training sessions, nor the immense impact it would have on my public speaking skills and confidence.

I now know that my voice is my power and I have all right to it. I am now better able to use that power to speak out on issues that matter to me and engage my social following.  I am better able to do interviews without being nervous, getting my points across concisely, in a diplomatic manner so as to avoid conflict.

The course also offered writing tips, and how to prepare for speaking engagements. Some great advice was to never refuse an opportunity to use your voice – your thoughts and opinions are as valid as anyone else’s.

I am honoured to have been a part of WMW’s amazing program, I am now a PowHerhouse!
